      Designer

After studying in Paris, Grégoire et Ferrandi and at a private business school, Hervé decided to add an artistic approach to his career by taking some courses at Ecole du Louvre.

He became an assistant to the Art Director of Studio LG, an advertising company specialized in lifestyle magazines where he learned rigor and was first initiated to creativity as a tool to excellence. He then moved to the renowned Hopkins Art Gallery and managed sales between Paris and New York.

The art gallery broadened up his mind and allowed him to meet and be appreciated by people involved in the cultural world. He was then asked to join Mr André Dunster of AROPE the Paris based international funds raising company involved in restoring the Paris Opera House. Through this position Herve was able to travel extensively, especially to the United States, to be in contact with VIP donators, organizing prestigious promotional events or trips to raise funds.

Such a rich experience helped Herve to be introduced to French luxury brands and when he moved to Japan in 2002 he was able to represent them and help them to develop their presence and turnover on the Japanese market. Herve initiated then for himself a never-ending passion for Asia and the Asian culture.

Three years later he came back to Paris and his international experience of luxury and art allowed him to join Shanti, a fashion office strongly linked with Asia. As a fashion coordinator he worked for Taiwanese retail companies and also the very exclusive high fashion boutique Three on the Bund in Shanghai.

In the mean time Herve developed a strong interest for furniture and interior design and started to take classes in addition to his work. Having the opportunity to move to Dubai in 2007, he began to work in the Middle East on some project for private customers while developing his skills.

Still on the move, Herve established himself in China in 2010 to share his vision on contemporary furniture and design. He had the opportunity to develop projects such as private apartments and villas, a boutique hotel and some commercial spaces (showrooms, art galleries). Most of the villa projects in China were conducted through a firm and imposed most of the time the baroque style.

Back to Europe, Hervé continues to develop his passion for creating furniture and interior design by mixing the many influences he acquired during his travels and encounters with so many different and fascinating people.

He opened his own design company “One Design – One life” in 2010. And now working between England and France.
